We are seeking an HR and Finance Support Volunteer to assist with various tasks and projects within our Human Resources and Finance departments. This role involves minimal yet crucial contributions such as data entry, document management, report preparation, research, and administrative support. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous experience in HR or finance is a plus but not required. This flexible, remote-friendly opportunity requires an estimated commitment of 5-10 hours per month. Reports To: Head of HR and Finance
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, with an estimated commitment of 5-10 hours per month, depending on project needs.
This is an unpaid volunteer role.

The HR and Finance Support Volunteer will assist the HR and Finance departments with various tasks and projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to contribute their skills in a meaningful way to support a small NGO's operational efficiency. The tasks will primarily involve project-based and cleanup work, with minimal yet essential contributions to help streamline our processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Cleanup: Assist in organizing and updating financial and HR records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Document Management: Help manage and organize digital and physical documents, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
  • Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of basic financial and HR reports, gathering and consolidating data as needed.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on HR and finance best practices, policies, and tools to support departmental improvements.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Project Assistance: Assist with special projects as needed, which may include data analysis, policy reviews, and process improvements.
  • Compliance Checks: Help ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures by conducting periodic audits and checks.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR and finance principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in HR or finance is a plus but not required.
